Fantasy Football Update Week 1 & 2
I apologize for missing the fantasy update last week. I know several of you are anxiously waiting on the edge of your seats for this info.
Just like last year, I will only update you on the two leagues I care the most about. One is a keeper league where I keep every single player each year and draft the current rookies. The other is a re-draft league where I get new players each year. Last year I was the regular season champ of both leagues. I ended up winning the Super Bowl with my keeper league team. In the keeper league my team is called X-15 and in the re-draft league my team is called The Intruders.
Week 1:
In the keeper league, X-15 (1-0) won a close one over the Posse, 62.92 - 62.15. Terrell Owens gave me the win with 112 receiving yards on Monday Night Football. Daunte Culpepper tried his hardest to cost X-15 the game by throwing 3 interceptions and fumbling twice.
In the re-draft league, The Intruders (1-0) defeated the Posse, 94.05 - 72.98. That's right, I beat Matt H. in both leagues! Leading the way were Kerry Collins (26.70) and Deuce McAllister (15.45).
INJURY REPORT - Javon Walker tore up his knee in week 1. Unfortunately I had him on both teams. This loss is more devastating for The Intruders because he was the best receiver on the team.
Week 2:
In the keeper league, X-15 (2-0) won a laugher over last year's Super Bowl runner-up The Ruminators. The final score was 113.09 - 52.23. Randy Moss (12.35), Terrell Owens (19.15), Cadillac Williams (12.40), and the Bears D (27.00!) paved the way for the victory. Once again Culpepper tried to give away the game by throwing three interceptions.
In the re-draft league, The Intruders (1-1) were downed by a score of 98.78 - 79.27. The loss of Javon Walker hurt the team this week. His replacement, Lee Evans, only managed to get 0.6 points.
INJURY REPORT - Ronald Curry tore his Achilles and will miss the remainder of the season. This is the second week in a row The Intruders lost a receiver to a season-ending injury.
