Batboy suspended for taking dare
The Marlins suspended their batboy for the upcoming 6-game homestand for accepting a dare from former Marlin Brad Penny. Penny told the boy that he would pay him $500 if he could drink a gallon of milk in under 1 hour without throwing up. The boy was able to down the milk without throwing up, but not within the allotted 60 minutes. After the Marlins found out about the dare, they suspended the boy. I thought stupid dares and practical jokes were a huge part of the game. Marlins management needs to lighten up. By the way, I'd drink a gallon of milk for $50 if anyone wants to pony up the cash.

The bat boy got suspended six games they said on the radio. How does that work? He get suspended six games for something like that, and someone who gets caught using steroids gets 10 games. Doesnt make much sense huh?
After the batboy was suspended six games for accepting a dare from Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny, a former Marlin, to drink a gallon of milk in less than an hour without vomiting, the Milk Processor Education Program wants to compensate him. The group is offering the batboy $500, the original prize of the dare, along with any lost wages from the suspension as long as he promises to drink the recommended three glasses of milk a day (just not all in one sitting).
