Fantasy Update Week 6
In the keeper league, X-15 (4-2) lost for the second week in a row. This time the South Park Cows defeated X-15, 102.40 - 93.28. The Cows were lead by a four touchdown night from Shaun Alexander. I could take the easy way out and blame the loss on another craptastic performance by Culpepper (6.18) or the injury-shortened days of Randy Moss and TJ Duckett. However, I should've never left Duckett in my starting lineup. I could've easily replaced him with Antowain Smith (14.40) or Michael Pittman (12.90). I left Duckett in because I wasn't sure what to expect from Smith since it was his first week replacing the injured Deuce McAllister. Pittman, who replaced an injuried Cadillac Williams (also on my team), was a game-time decision with a shoulder injury. I also could've put Jake Plummer (22.78) instead of Culpepper and gotten the victory. Luckily this week X-15 faces a weak Seven's Splash squad. The top 5 teams in the league have a 4-2 record but X-15 is currently in fourth place because of total points scored.
In the re-draft league, The Intruders (2-4) picked up their second win of the season over The Schmucks, 89.03 - 77.19. LaMont Jordan, Jeremy Shockey, and Antowain Smith were the high scorers. The Intruders are now in 8th place.
INJURY REPORT: In the keeper league, Randy Moss was injured and remains questionable for week seven with a groin strain, bruised ribs, and a pelvic bruise. This injury will affect The Intruders because Randy is Kerry Collins' best target.
