Ray Edwards is done
Junior Ray Edwards said on Saturday that he will forego his senior year to enter the NFL Draft.
"I'm definitely going pro. This is my last game here," Edwards said. "My grandmother needs to stop working. She's been working since she was 19 and she's 63 now. I don't want to see her working no more.
"Me and the coaches haven't really been getting along. We've had a couple of differences during the season. Once coach Spack told me I wasn't fast enough to play here, I knew I had to leave. Life is life, you gotta' move on."
Tiller said he was not surprised by Edwards' decision, but was surprised at how he publicly said he would turn professional.
"I was somewhat surprised in the way it occurred. When a player thinks about (going pro), they walk into my office and talk to me about it, but we haven't talked about it," Tiller said. "I'm not surprised, but do I want him to stay? No."
