Cubs add free agent infielder

The Cubs signed Mark DeRosa to a three-year deal worth $13 mil. DeRosa, who played six positions for the Rangers last season, is expected to be the Cubs' regular second baseman. DeRosa, 31, hit a career-high .296 with 13 home runs and 74 RBI in Texas last season, his second with the Rangers. In nine seasons, DeRosa has a .273 average with 38 homers and 193 RBI. DeRosa wasn't one of the guys I was thinking of when the Cubs said they were going to go out and spend alot of money on free agents. Maybe that means that Ronny Cedeno is on his way out of town via a trade.
