Cubs hang on

The Cubs beat the Pirates 1-0 tonight. Zambrano pitched 7 1/3 innings and struck out 7. He left in the eighth with the bases loaded and one out. Kent Mercker came in and struck out Craig Wilson. The next batter lined a shot to the gap but Sammy made a game saving, diving catch. It was the only thing Sammy did tonight besides strike out two times. Zambrano moves to 15-8 and the Cubs move to 85-66. The series finale is tomorrow at 11:35 Central Time. I love the day games, it gives me something to do at work.
