Bears give "The Beard" an extension

Kyle Orton inked a one-year extension with the Bears yesterday night.

Orton will begin the season in a battle with newly signed Rex Grossman for the starting QB spot.

The deal that Grossman signed was identical to Orton's one-year extension.
