Cubs add Japanese star
Looks like the Cubs have made their second major free agent signing in as many years. Jim Hendry locked up Japanese import Kosuke Fukudome to a 4-year, $48 million deal.
Some are saying that he is a cross between Ichiro and Hideki Matsui. I don't know if I buy that, but he should be better than a combination of Cliff Floyd and Jacque Jones in right field.
I can't wait for Ron Santo to start trying to pronounce his name. Too bad Harry is not around anymore.
