Low Watt-age

Gordon Watt is with the Boilers no longer.

Coach Painter dismissed Watt Friday after he was arrested for a DUI early that same morning.

Watt was dismissed because he had another alochol related arrest back in October 2005. At that time, Painter made it clear that another arrest would be the end of Watt's career.

The giant banner featuring Watt was still hanging from Mackey Arena last Saturday. I'm guessing it won't be there when I go down this Saturday.

Keaton Grant was arrested along with Watt on Friday. He has been suspended for the first three games of the season.

On a related note, Gene Keady inked a deal with the Big Ten Network to be a part of the studio team along with Jimmy Jackson and Tim Doyle.
