Painter craps the bed for the second week in a row
After throwing for 432 yards against a hapless Northwestern team, Curtis Painter has posted two consecutive craptastic outings. Last week he led the Purdue offense to three points by completing 20-of-40 passes for 187 yards and 1 interception. This week Painter was even more craptacular. The Purdue signal caller was 21-of-38 for 199 yards with two costly interceptions. Today's 12-0 defeat against Penn State is the first time Purdue has been shut out since Coach Tiller has taken over.
