Friday Night Lights

I normally don't talk about TV much on here, but I was so impressed by NBC's new show Friday Night Lights that I had to recommend it to my dozens and dozens of readers. NBC hasn't been pushing it as much as Heroes or Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip so you might not have heard anything about it. If you enjoyed the movie by the same name or Varsity Blues, chances are you'll enjoy this show. The best part is that the player who is being recruited by Notre Dame appears to be paralyzed in the pilot episode. I say appeared because I'm sure he'll make a miraculous comeback in a later episode. NBC is re-airing the pilot tonight at 8:00 EDT.

DISCLAIMER: I also enjoyed the ill-fated ESPN show Playmakers and Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday so take what I say with a grain of salt.
