Let the mass exodus begin

Robert Vaden was the first IU player to say that he will probably leave after this season following the departure of Coach Mike Davis. Vaden, who scored 21 points to lead the Hoosiers' 78-71 win over Michigan State, said the Indiana coach's final game in Assembly Hall on Sunday was probably his last game at home, too.

"I'm almost positive I won't be back," the sophomore guard said. "My coach is leaving. That's not the only reason I came here, but it was a very big reason why I came here, and I don't think it would be best for me to stay. I think it would be best for me to weigh my options elsewhere."

I think Vaden should makes things right and transfer to Purdue. For those who don't know, Vaden originally committed to Purdue before switching to IU.

Just for Mark

Since Mark thinks this blog is getting boring, I thought I would post something interesting for him. Jayco has a website and it looks very nice. According to Jayco, they make America's most liveable RVs. Mark take pride that you help produce America's most liveable RVs. I also learned that Jayco is family-owned by the Bontrager family, many of whom are actively involved in the day-to-day operations. Mark have you ever met a member of the Bontrager family? That would be cool!

Also, Mark let the IT people know that I think the website is extremely slow. The website that you helped out on is much faster.

Purdue loses offensive coordinator

Jim Chaney will join the St. Louis Rams' staff as an assistant offensive line coach next season. Joe Tiller, Brock Spack, and Chaney came in 1997 and led the Boilers to eight consecutive bowl games, including the Rose Bowl in 2000. During that time, Chaney and the Boilers became renowned for their spread offense, which was ranked among the nation's top 10 four different times under Chaney and accurately given the nickname "basketball on grass."

Backstreet's Back, All Right?!

Hey Pro Bowl, the late 90s called and they want the Backstreet Boys back. Who thought it would be a good idea to have the Backstreet Boys play during half-time at the Pro Bowl? I'm fairly certain the demographic of people watching the game does not include teenage girls.

Boilers upset Wolverines

Purdue destroyed #22 Michigan today at Mackey Arena, 84-70. Freshman reserve Marcus Green finished with 23 points, 18 of those coming in the first half. All students currenly attending Michigan should hang their heads in shame.

Cubs ink Zambrano

The Cubs and Carlos Zambrano agreed to a one-year deal worth $6.5 million. The Cubs have signed all of their arbitration-eligible players. Pitchers and catchers report to Mesa, Ariz., for spring training next Wednesday.

Disney gets Oswald for Al Michaels

In order for NBC to get Al Michaels to broadcast their Sunday night games, they had to give up Walt Disney's first cartoon creation, Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. Sounds like a fair deal to me. In another deal, ABC gave NBC John Madden for a Snickers bar and a $20 gift card to Applebees.
