Purdue drops from rankings

After Saturday's embarrassing display at Northwestern, the Boilers have dropped out of both polls. Purdue was ranked 5th just three weeks ago when Orton was the Heisman frontrunner. After consecutive losses to Wisconsin, Michigan, and Northwestern, Purdue is not ranked and Orton may not be the starter this Saturday at Iowa. Orton was benched late in the game against the Wildcats in favor of Brandon Kirsch. Purdue plays at #20 Iowa on Saturday.
