Boilers move to 9-0 at Mackey

Purdue (11-3) extended its home winning streak to nine games last night with a 102-65 win over Southeast Missouri State. David Teague finally turned in a good game with 21 points (five three-pointers), four assists, and zero turnovers. Last night was the first time Purdue has scored over 100 points since 1998 against North Carolina-Asheville. Purdue opens the Big Ten season on Wednesday at Minnesota.

Merry Christmas!

Italian Soccer league GM Rino Foschi's wife was less than excited on Christmas Eve when she opened up a severed goat's head that had been wrapped and placed under the tree. Foschi said that he received the package on Decemeber 22nd and put it under the tree. Hopefully my first softball season as coach goes well. I don't want Angie opening up any severed animal heads next Christmas.

ND guard arrested after police find pot

Notre Dame has suspended starting guard Kyle McAlarney for tonight's game against Stoney Brook after police found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. I thought that kind of stuff only happened at Purdue.

Tank's problems continue

One of Tank's bodyguards was shot to death early this morning at a nightclub in Chicago. Tank was at the nightclub when the shooting took place.

I think it is time for the Bears to send Tank to the Cincinnati Bengals. He would fit in better over there. The Bengals have had 8 players arrested since this time last year.

Tank Johnson in trouble with the law

Tank was charged today with not having a gun owner identification card after six guns were found in his home. His status for the rest of the season is unclear at this time.

UPDATE: Tank will not be playing this weekend against the Bucs.

The death of a dynasty

My beloved fantasy football team, X-15, was bounced from the playoffs for the first time in two years this past weekend. The loss was especially hard to swallow because my team was the top seed in the playoffs and lost to a team that was 4-9 in the regular season. I'll feel better about the loss once I hunt down Tom Brady and give him the crippler for his craptastic outing on Sunday (78 passing yards, 1 fumble).

I've seen enough

I've been trying to hang in with Rex Grossman and his poor performances, but I've finally given up on him. Today he passed for a robust 34 yards with 3 interceptions against the Vikes. Before today the Vikings had the 31st (out of 32) ranked passing defense in the NFL. Forget Griese, it's time to bring back the man with the beard!

Purdue finally has an opponent for bowl game

The Boilers found out today that they will be facing Maryland in the Champs Sports Bowl on December 29th in Orlando. Maryland finished with an 8-4 record, which was good enough for a three-way tie for second place in the ACC.
