New Jack Black Movie

Jack Black is in the upcoming King Kong movie. Judging from the trailer, it doesn't appear that we will get to see his unmatched comedic talents.

Softball 6/24

We won both games again giving us a second place finish in the regular season standings. I hit two more dingers to move the meter to 8 for the season.

Best.Website.Ever.

I have been finding lots of interesting websites while cleaning out the histories on the computers at work. The greatest one had to be this.

Softball 6/17

Tonight we split the doubleheader against previously unbeaten Zion Missionary. We had them down to their final out in the first game with a 6-run lead but let them score 8 runs before we could get the third out. In the bottom of the 7th we could only plate one run and we lost by one run. We took them behind the woodshed the second game. I'm not sure of the score, but we beat them by more than 10.

Bring me the finest meats and cheeses because I hit four home runs and a triple. One of the dingers went out to dead center, which is just over 280 feet. My triple should've have been an inside-the-park home run but I was admiring the ball instead of running. The ball ended up landing about a foot short of the fence. I impressed them so much they intentionally walked me with runners on second and third. Unfortunately for them, Adam came up next and hit a double, scoring all 3 runners. Ervin found his stroke tonight and had several hits. Kenny showed off his speed with a couple infield hits.

We are now 10-2 and trail Zion by 1 game in the league standings with only one week left to play. Our next game is Friday at 8:00 on the front diamond.

FSU QB a little confused

Florida State Quarterback, Wyatt Sexton, was taken to a local hospital by police after they received a call about unusual behavior. When police arrived Wyatt identified himself as "God" and the "Son of God". Sexton was behaving in such a way that the police had to pepper spray him. According to Sexton's friends, he had just returned from a rock festival featuring the Dave Matthews Band.

Softball 6/10

We won both games via forfeit tonight. The other team had the minimum amount of players there but they did not think they would be competitive enough. We agreed to let them pick up some other players from another team to fill out their roster. Erv, Adam, and I all agreed that if one of us were to hit a home run it would count towards our respective meters. With that said, I drilled an opposite field shot to deep right in my last at bat of the game. Feel free to comment below on how impressed you are with my opposite field power (no, there was no hurricane-like gusts of winds during the at bat). Officially Kenny's inside the park home run was most likely* a single with a three base error, but I really admired his hustle around the bases. Way to go Kenny!

Our next game is Friday at 8:00.

*Actually it was definitely a single with a three base error but who's keeping track?

Home Alone star busted

Macaulay Culkin pleaded guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor drug charges. He was caught when the police stopped a car that he was riding in. The cops found Xanax and some Mary Jane. Maybe the Xanax was to help him get over all of the painful memories the Michael Jackson trial has brought back. At least Culkin's mug shot doesn't look as bad as Nick Nolte's.

One for the "What were they thinking?" file

A woman was arrested in Australia for smuggling fish in her skirt. Customs officials stopped her because they heard "flipping" noises coming from her skirt. I'm sure there are several jokes I could make about this, but I won't since it is a family blog.

Smart Cat

Take a look at CC, my mom's cat, playing the piano. If you were wondering, CC stands for Clinic Cat. CC lived at the Nappanee Vet for a long time but was on death row after biting a few people. Luckily for CC my mom could not resist Angie's begging and decided to give CC a home.
